Integral thermal guards protect against improper lamping and misuse of insulation materials with lamp wattage ratings and apertures based off trim selection. Designed for slope ceiling installation with a 2/12 to 6/12 pitch, the socket pivots to allow the lamp to be aimed straight down regardless of ceiling pitch. The airtight housing limits the exchange of air between ceiling plenum and heated/cooled areas. The housing adjusts from 1/2 to 1-1/2 in to accommodate ceiling thickness and its 7-1/2 in height allows it to be used in 2 x 8 in joist construction.
