Pass & Seymour® arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) receptacles are the latest innovation in electrical safety technology and a code approved alternative to AFCI breakers. AFCI receptacles protect against electrical fires by detecting arc faults and de-energizing the circuit. AFCI receptacles also save money for electrical contractors by reducing costly callbacks. Like GFCI receptacles, AFCI receptacles are installed in the living space so homeowners can see the indicator light and TEST and RESET are controlled locally. This means less confusion for the homeowner and therefore fewer callbacks for the contractor. Easier installation than breakers. Fits any wall box no need to match the brand of the breaker box. Can be installed on a circuit with shared neutrals on the line side.
