NEC 680.26(C) states - "An intentional bond of minimum conductive surface area of 9 in shall be installed in contact with the pool water. This bond shall be permitted to consist of parts that are required to be bonded in 680.26(B)". In order to comply with this requirement BURNDY® is offering the BWB680 Series. Made of noncorrosive stainless steel, the BURNDY® water bonding kit maintains constant contact with pool water to ensure that the pool is effectively bonded at all times. Other products are placed in the plumbing, which is not always in contact with the water and therefore does not meet the code. Since the BWB680 Series is placed in the skimmer, it is always in contact with the water.
