Passive infrared (PIR) outdoor motion sensors provide outstanding reliable value in security lighting, as well as convenience, safety and energy savings for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. These outdoor motion sensors are designed to be mounted at a height of 8 to 10 ft and have similar maximum ranges, although the detection pattern and field of view varies with regard to the model number. Each device has a sensor and switch incorporated into one unit and is installed as part of a lighting circuit. It will turn light fixture(s) ON when it senses movement in its field of view. It will also turn the same fixture(s) OFF from a user determined time interval after motion is no longer detected.
